Basic Taking Pictures Easily ( Intelligent Auto Mode) The camera automatically sets the appropriate settings according to the subject and recording condition. This mode is recommended for beginners to take pictures easily. 1 Set the camera to intelligent auto mode [ ]. D AF area • By using face detection, AF area is automatically displayed on person's face.Otherwise, AF area is displayed on suitable focus points. E Aperture value • The camera beeps twice when the subject is focused. • The focus range is 5 cm (0.17 feet) to Z. However, the available distance between the camera and the subject becomes further as you set high magnification [up to 1 m (3.28 feet) to Z]. 4 Press the halfway pressed shutter button fully to take a picture. 2 Hold this unit gently with both hands, keep your arms still at your side and stand with your feet slightly apart. Automatic scene detection The camera detects different recording situations and automatically switches to the suitable scene setting.
