[REC MODE] Switch the picture quality and recording format of the motion pictures to record. The recording formats that can be set change according to [REC FORMAT] setting. MENU : [RECORD SETUP] # [REC MODE] # desired setting ≥ When [REC FORMAT] is set to [AVCHD] [PH]/[HA]/[HG]/[HE]: (A B) Set the recording format to 1080/60i. [1080/60p]*1: Set the recording format to 1080/60p. A Favors image quality B Favors Recording time ≥ When [REC FORMAT] is set to [MP4/iFrame] [1080]*2: Set the recording format to 1080/60p. [720]*2: Set the recording format to 720/30p. [iFrame]*3: Set the recording format to iFrame. *1 You can record motion pictures in 1080/60p (1920k1080/60 progressive), the best AVCHD picture quality for this unit. *2 [1080] and [720] are recording modes suitable for playing back or editing on a PC. *3 [iFrame] is a format suitable for Mac (iMovie etc.). It is recommended for when using a Mac. ≥ Please refer to page 11 for details about recordable time using the battery. ≥ This function's default setting is [HG] mode. ≥ Please refer to page 133 for details about approximate recordable time. ≥ When the unit is moved a lot or moved quickly, or when a fast-moving subject is recorded, mosaic-type noise may appear at playback. [FACE FRAMING] Detected faces appear with frames. MENU : [RECORD SETUP] # [FACE FRAMING] # desired setting [PRIMARY]: Only the prioritized face framing is displayed. [ALL]: All face detection framings are displayed. [OFF]: Cancel the setting. ≥ Up to 5 frames are indicated. Larger faces and faces nearer to the center of the screen take preference over others. - 62 -
