Using surge protectors L The warranty does not cover damage due to power line surges or lightning. For additional protection, we recommend the use of a surge protector (6). If you use this unit with a computer or subscribe to a DSL service Fax transmission/reception may be disturbed, noise interference may be heard during telephone conversation, or Caller ID (page 38) may not function properly. A filter to prevent this is provided from your service company. Using the optional handset unit
