Troubleshooting guide Before requesting service, make the following checks. If this does not fix the problem, consult the dealer. ≥ There is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer. ≥ Disc may be dirty. Wipe it clean. ≥ Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try again. ≥ Ensure that necessary preparations have been made before Auto Speaker Setup. ≥ Check and correct the speaker cable connections if you are doing Auto Speaker Setup. ≥ The volume might be muted. Cancel muting before Auto Speaker Setup. ≥ Trouble may have occurred. The numbers following "H" and "F" depend on the status of the unit. Turn the unit off and then back on. Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the AC power supply cord, and then reconnect it. ≥ If the service numbers fail to clear, note the service number and contact a qualified service person. ≥ There is no link between the main unit and the wireless equipment. Check that the wireless equipment is plugged into the AC outlet and is turned on. ≥ [PT1050] Ensure the pairing procedure for the wireless subwoofer is performed correctly. ≥ Ensure that the digital transmitter is fully inserted into the slot of the main unit. ≥ The HDMI connection acts unusually. - The connected equipment is not HDMI-compatible. - Please use HDMI cables that have the HDMI logo (as shown on the cover). - The HDMI cable is too long. - The HDMI cable is damaged. ≥ It takes a short time for the XM radio to power up after turning on the main unit, during which time "XM RADIO" is displayed (only when the selected source is XM). Wait a few seconds for this process to complete. ≥ There may be an error in the XM radio module. Turn the main unit off, and then back on. ≥ The XM antenna may be defective. Consult the dealer of the XM antenna. ≥ Match the modes on the main unit and remote control. The HDMI connection acts unusually.
– The connected equipment is not HDMI-compatible.
– Please use HDMI cables that have the HDMI logo (as shown on the cover).
– The HDMI cable is too long.
– The HDMI cable is damaged.
“XM RADIO”
It takes a short time for the XM radio to power up after turning on the main unit, during which time
“XM RADIO” is displayed (only when the selected source is XM).
Wait a few seconds for this process to complete.
“XM ERROR”
There may be an error in the XM radio module. Turn the main unit off, and then back on.
The XM antenna may be defective. Consult the dealer of the XM antenna.
“REMOTE 1” or “REMOTE 2”
Match the modes on the main unit and remote control. Depending on the number being displayed (“1” or
“2”), press and hold [ENTER] and the corresponding numbered button ([1] or [2]) for at least 2 seconds.
