Using the Digital Wide Function (Digital Wide Mode) In X (Digital Wide) mode, you can stitch two vertical images captured with this camera into a single frame up to approx. 20 mm coverage (35 mm film equivalent). 3 + Taking Pictures 1 In A mode, set the mode dial to H and press the four- way controller (3). The Capture Mode Palette appears. 2 Use the four-way controller (2345) to select X. 3 Press the 4 button. The camera enters X mode. 1 38 Hold the camera vertically so that the shutter release button is on the bottom, and compose the first image (left half of picture). When the camera detects a person's face, the Face Detection function is activated and the face detection frame appears. (p.70) 4 Press the shutter release button halfway.
