Using the Menus When you press the MENU button, the menus appear on the LCD monitor. You can set functions, save the settings and change the camera settings on these menus. How to Use the Menus Common Operations When you are making settings from a menu, a guide to operation appears on the LCD monitor. Ex.) To set the [Quality Level] on the [A Rec. Mode] menu 3 1 Press the MENU button. Rec. Mode The menu screen appears. The [A Rec. Mode] menu is selected. Recorded Pixels 2816 Quality Level White Balance AWB Focusing Area Multi 2 Press the four-way controller (3). AE Metering Sensitivity Auto The frame moves to [Recorded Pixels]. MENU E x i t OK OK 3 Press the four-way controller (3). Rec. Mode The frame moves to [Quality Level]. Recorded Pixels 2816 Quality Level White Balance Focusing Area AE Metering Sensitivity AWB Multi Auto MENU E x i t OK OK 4 Use the four-way controller (45) Rec. Mode to change the setting. Recorded Pixels 2816 The quality changes each time the four-way Quality Level White Balance AWB controller is pressed. Focusing Area Multi 5 Press the OK button or the shutter AE Metering Sensitivity Auto release button. MENU E x i t OK OK The setting is saved and the screen returns to capture status. • If you press any buttons before pressing the OK button or the shutter release button to exit the menu, any changes you have made to the settings will not be saved. • Even after pressing the OK button or the shutter release button to exit the menu, if you turn the camera off incorrectly (such as by removing the batteries while the camera is turned on), any changes you have made to the settings will not be saved. 39
