Preparations Settings In the settings menu, you can adjust the machine settings and screen settings. All settings are stored even when the machine is turned off. ambition™ 1.5 Settings menu (1.5) Touch the settings menu tab (A) to open. The settings menu is divided into two tabs. Select a tab (1 or 2) by touching it. Twin needle Touch the twin needle icon to activate. Touch "-" and "+" to set the twin needle width. The selected width is shown in the twin needle icon. When a twin needle size is selected, the width of all stitches is limited for that needle size to prevent needle breakage. A warning pop-up will be shown if you select a stitch that is too wide for the set twin needle size. When activated, the twin needle icon will be shown in sewing mode. The setting is kept until you deactivate it. Note: Twin needle and stitch width safety cannot be used at the same time. A warning sound will be heard when trying to activate both settings. Stitch width safety Select this function when using a straight stitch needle plate or a straight stitch presser foot to lock the center needle position for all stitches to prevent damage to the needle, presser foot or stitch plate. Touch the stitch width safety icon to activate. When activated, the stitch width safety icon will be shown in sewing mode. The setting is kept until you deactivate it. Note: When turning on the machine with this setting activated and for every stitch selection that is not a straight stitch, a pop-up informs you that the machine is set for straight stitch. Twin needle and stitch width safety cannot be used at the same time. A warning sound will be heard when trying to activate both settings. A Touch screen calibration When touching the icons on the screen, the screen might need a calibration to adjust to your touch. Touch the calibration icon to open a special view for touch screen calibration. Use the stylus to first touch the center of the cross in the top left corner, then touch the center of the cross in the bottom right corner. The calibration view closes automatically when you have touched the second cross. Language Touch "-" and "+" to change the language of all text in your machine. Software version Check the software version for your sewing machine. Contrast Touch "-" and "+" to adjust the contrast of the touch screen. Settings
In the settings menu, you can adjust the machine
settings and
screen settings. All settings are stored
even when the machine is turned off.
Settings menu (1.5)
Touch the settings menu tab (A) to open. The
settings menu is divided into two tabs. Select a tab
(1 or 2) by touching it.
Twin needle
Touch the twin needle icon to activate. Touch “-”
and “+” to set the twin needle width. The selected
width is shown in the twin needle icon.
When a twin needle size is selected, the width of
all stitches is limited for that needle size to prevent
needle breakage.
A warning pop-up will be shown if you select a
stitch that is too wide for the set twin needle size.
When activated, the twin needle icon will be
shown in sewing mode.
The setting is kept until you deactivate it.
Note: Twin needle and stitch width safety cannot be
used at the same time. A

Stitch width safety
Select this function when using a straight stitch
needle plate or a straight stitch presser foot to lock
the center needle position for all stitches to prevent
damage to the needle, presser foot or
stitch plate.
Touch the stitch width safety icon to activate.
When activated, the stitch width safety icon will
be shown in sewing mode.
The setting is kept until you deactivate it.

Touch screen calibration
When touching the icons on the screen, the screen
might need a calibration to adjust to your touch.
Touch the calibration icon to open a special view
for touch screen calibration. Use the
stylus to
fi
rst touch the center of the cross in the top left
corner, then touch the center of the cross in the
bottom right corner. The calibration view closes
automatically when you have touched the second
cross.
Language
Touch ”-”
and ”+” to change the language of all
text in your machine.
Software version
Check the software version for your sewing
machine.
