Press ( 411) or (III") side of buttons [5] to adjust the distance between the selected speaker unit and driver's head position. (Numeric display [17] shows "0 - 160 INCH" or "0 - 400 CM".) 6. Enter the distance between each speaker unit and the driver's head position by repeating steps 4 and 5 above. 7. Press button [11] to quit the time alignment mode. Note: • In case you use only one sub-woofer in monaural, enter the identical distance for "LOW-R" and "LOW-L". Adjusting Network The network function built into this unit divides audio signal into frequency ranges so that each range can be reproduced though the exclusive speaker unit for that range. Adjustment Items The adjustments possible with the network function are as follows. Adjust the following items according to the reproduce frequency bands and properties of the speaker units. I Level (dB) C) Reproduce frequency band / ,; 0 ® Level 0 © Slope (dB/oct.) 20 100 /i Cutoff frequency of HPF •,,1, k Frequency --. (Hz) Cutoff frequency of LPF C) Reproduce Frequency Band The reproduce frequency band of each speaker unit can be set by adjusting the cutoff frequencies of the high-pass filter (HPF) and low-pass filter (LPF). • The HPF is a filter which passes high frequencies by cutting off the lower frequencies (range) than the set frequency. • The LPF is a filter which passes low frequencies by cutting off the higher frequencies (range) than the set frequency.
