Voice Memo You can use your phone to record voice memos and other sound files for later playback or assignment as ringers. (For more information, refer to "Ringer Type" on page 111.) Note: The maximum length for a voice memo in "Limit for Message" mode is 60 seconds. In "Until Memory Full" mode, the time limit is determined by available memory. You can save as many voice memos as will fit in the empty memory capacity. Record a Voice Memo 1. From the Multimedia menu, touch My Sounds then touch the Record New soft key. The following options appear in the display: • Until Memory Full - Recording continues until you touch , or until all available memory is used. • Limit for Message - Recording continues for no more than 1 minute. 2. Touch the desired option. The Voice Recorder screen appears in the display. 3. Touch the Record button ( ), then start speaking. As it is recording the phone displays a countdown timer that shows the seconds remaining for the recording. • To pause the memo, touch the Pause button. When a memo is paused, touch Resume to continue recording. 4. Once you're finished recording, touch the Stop button. The new recording is saved, and the My Sounds screen appears in the display. Review Voice Memos If you've saved any voice memos, you can review them anytime. 1. From the Multimedia menu, touch My Sounds. A list of sound files appears in the display. Multimedia 84
