Part Names and Functions Remote Control Battery Installation 1 Open the battery compartment lid. Pull up the lid and remove it. 2 Install new batteries into the compartment. 3 Two AAA size batteries For correct polarity (+ and -), be sure battery terminals are in contact with pins in the compartment. Replace the compartment lid. To ensure safe operation, please observe the following precautions : ● Use two (2) AAA or LR03 type alkaline batteries. ● Always replace batteries in sets. ● Do not use a new battery with a used battery. ● Avoid contact with water or liquid. ● Do not expose the remote control to moisture or heat. ● Do not drop the remote control. ● If the battery has leaked on the remote control, carefully wipe the case clean and install new batteries. ● Risk of an explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. ● Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions or your local disposal rule or guidelines. Remote Control Receivers and Operating Range Point the remote control toward the projector (to Infrared Remote Receivers) when pressing the buttons. Maximum operating range for the remote control is about 16.4' (5 m) and 60 degrees in front and rear of the projector. 16.4' (5 m) Infrared Remote Receivers are provided both in front and back of the projector. You can conveniently use both of the receivers (pp. 10, 61). ✔Note: •W hen hanging the projector from the ceiling, select the Infrared Remote Receiver which is located farther away from the fluorescent light (p.61). 16.4' (5 m) Wired Remote Control The remote control can be used as a wired remote control. Wired remote control helps you use the remote control outside of the operating range (16.4'/ 5 m). Connect the remote control and the projector with the remote control cable (sold separately). Connected with the remote control cable, the remote control does not emit wireless signal. 15

Open the battery
compartment lid.
Install new batteries into
the compartment.
Replace the
compartment lid.
Two AAA size batteries

Pull up the lid

Point the remote control toward the projector (to
Infrared Remote Receivers) when pressing the buttons.
Maximum operating range for the remote control is
about 16.4’ (5 m) and 60 degrees in front and rear of the
projector.
Infrared Remote Receivers are provided both in front and
back of the projector. You can conveniently use both of
the receivers (pp. 10, 61).

Remote Control Receivers and Operating Range
The remote control can be used as a wired remote control. Wired remote control helps you use the remote control outside
of the operating range (16.4’/ 5 m). Connect the remote control and the projector with the remote control cable (sold
separately). Connected with the remote control cable, the remote control does not emit wireless signal.
