Setting 27: DEPARTMENT CODE DIGITS Use this setting if you are using Telephone Billing and need to change the number of digits of Department Codes to accord with your PBX's telephone billing system. Enter any number from 3 to 9 . ♦ Initial setting: 4 Setting 28: DISTINCTIVE RING This sets the ring pattern to which your fax will answer if you subscribe to a distinctive ring service. Enter a number from 1 to 5 ( 1 to 7 in Canada) to select a pattern. See page 105 for more details. ♦ Initial setting: 5 Setting 29: VERIFICATION STAMP Press 1 if you want the fax machine to stamp each original document page as it is scanned. After scanning, you can check to see if all pages have been stamped to verify that no double feeds occurred. Press 2 to turn the function off.
