Maintenance Cleaning the cartridge holder A dirty print cartridge holder may cause smudges on your printed pages. To INK clean the print cartridge holder, press , open the operation panel, open the print compartment cover, and remove the print cartridge (see the procedure beginning on page 16). Wipe ➊ on the holder with a damp cloth. 1 About the lithium battery: The fax machine uses a lithium battery to retain settings and information programmed in the machine when the power is turned off. Battery power is consumed primarily when the power is off. With the power kept continuously off, the life of the battery is about 5 years.
