Notes on Connection • Turn on the power to each unit before making connections. Connect the AC power cord last. For the model supplied with a plug adaptor, use it if the plug of the power cord does not match your AC outlet. • Be sure to insert the plugs firmly into the jacks. Loose connections may cause hum and noise. • Leave a little slack in the connecting cord to allow for inadvertent shock or vibration. • Cord plugs and jacks are color coded: Red plugs and jacks are for the right channel (R) and white ones for the left channel (L). n Connecting to an Amplifier a) to an AC outlet b) CONTROL S IN c) Speaker system d) Amplifier When using the UNE OUT There are two ways of connecting with UNE OUT as follows: FIXED: The output levelis fixed. VARIABLE: The output level can be adjusted with the LINE OUT/PHONE LEVEL control (or the UNE OUT LEVLE +/- on the remote commander.) Notes on UNE OUT • Connect your system to the VARIABLE output when using level tiles. • If the UNE OUT/PHONE LEVEL control (or UNE OUT LEVEL +/-) is adjusted while recording, the recordinglevel will change even when it is preset on the tape deck. -.7
