Table of contents Operation Search 0.5 m/1.0 m/ 3.0 m/7.0 m/ (unlimited distance) Automatically and quickly focuses on the area around a previously set distance (Semi manual). This mode is useful when repeatedly shooting a subject at the same distance or when it is difficult to get a sharp focus with automatic focusing such as when shooting a subject through a net or window. • Focuses on a subject in all ranges of the finder frame in Semi manual mode. Notes • When you use [Digital Zoom] or [AF Illuminator], the AF range finder frame setting is disabled and AF range finder frame is displayed as a dotted line instead. In this case, the camera works to focus on the subjects at the center of the screen. • If you set the focus mode to other than [Multi AF], [Face Detection] is fixed to [When touched]. • The focus mode is fixed to [Multi AF] while the Smile Shutter function is activated. • The semi manual distance setting contains some errors. zQuickly choosing the priority subject Touching the screen displays a frame, and then pressing the shutter button halfway down brings the frame into focus.
