Note The line numbers on which VANC data can be mapped is limited. For details, see "Restrictions" (page 16). VANC data mapping There are two modes that determine how VANC data is mapped from the input SDI signal to the output SDI signal (normal mode and field mode). When different data is included in field 1 and field 2 in the VANC data space of an HD-SDI/3G-SDI Level-B signal (referred to as HD-SDI), such as material transmission ancillary data (ARIB TR-B22), field mode is used. In other cases, normal mode is used. 14

Preserving and Mapping ANC Data
The unit supports various conversions while preserving ANC
data (Ancillary Data) multiplexed with the SDI signal.
The line numbers on which VANC data can be mapped is limited. For
details, see
“Restrictions” (page 16)
.
VANC data mapping
There are two modes that determine how VANC data is
mapped from the input SDI signal to the output SDI signal
(normal mode and field mode).
When different data is included in field 1 and field 2 in the
VANC data space of an HD-SDI/3G-SDI Level-B signal
(referred to as HD-SDI), such as material transmission
ancillary data (ARIB TR-B22), field mode is used. In other
cases, normal mode is used.
