Field mode In this mode, when converting between HD-SDI and 3G-SDI Level-A, the space used for VANC data for 3G-SDI Level-A changes depending on whether the HD-SDI field is field 1 or field 2. When converting from HD-SDI to 3G-SDI Level-A, VANC is mapped as shown in the following figure. VANC data may not be preserved correctly when the delay mode is set to MINIMUM. SR Live Metadata Input/Output When generating an SDR signal from an HDR signal, you can embed a group of required settings (HDR SDR Relation Table) in the VANC space of the SDI signal. This allows a receiving device to display the settings or to apply the group of settings to the HDR signal to SDR signal conversion settings automatically. 16
