Sound Quality Adjustment TURNOVER 0 200Hz n 400Hz BASS 2• 2 .4 MID TREBLE • • • 6 • • • • •8 • • -10° .410 -10. **IR -10. ...AO TURNOVER 0 =,3KHz n 6KHz LOUDNESS ON n OFF SUBSONIC =ON n OFF SOURCE DIRECT To adjust the tone quality Use BASS, MID, TREBLE controls to adjust the tone to suit the characteristics of the listening room and the program source. 1 Turn off SOURCE DIRECT switch. 2 With the STR-GX90ES, press TURNOVER to select the frequency range controlled by BASS (below 200 Hz or 400 Hz) and TREBLE (above 3 kHz or 6 kHz) controls respectively. 3 Adjust BASS, MID, TREBLE controls. To reinforce the bass frequency response Press LOUDNESS. The lower the speaker output level is, the more bass frequency sound is emphasized. To reduce subsonic noise components created by warped phonograph records, etc.(only for STR-GX90ES) Press SUBSONIC. To bypass the tone control circuit Press SOURCE DIRECT. TONE controls, BALANCE control, SUBSONIC and LOUDNESS switches are bypassed. 16
