To reinforce the bass frequency response Press LOUDNESS. The lower the speaker output level is, the more bass frequency sound is emphasized. To reduce subsonic noise components created by warped phonograph records, etc.(only for STR-GX90ES) Press SUBSONIC. To bypass the tone control circuit Press SOURCE DIRECT. TONE controls, BALANCE control, SUBSONIC and LOUDNESS switches are bypassed. 16
