4 - Preparations Right side panel connections TASCAM PS-P520 (sold separately) DC plug AC wall socket Adjusting the contrast You can adjust the contrast of the display. Follow these steps to adjust the contrast. 1. When the recorder is stopped, press the MENU button to open the MENU screen. 2. Use the DATA wheel to select (highlight) the PREFERENCEitem, and press the F4 [t] button to open the PREFERENCEscreen. Mini-B USB plug Computer USB NOTE • Recorder functions cannot be used when connected to a computer by USB. • This unit can only be connected to a computer by USB when the recorder mode is set to MULTI TRACK. 3. Use the F3 [5] and F4 [b] buttons to select the Contrastitem, and use the DATA wheel to to adjust the display contrast. The setting values are 1-10 (default value: 5). Lower values make the display lighter while higher values make it darker. The display appears different depending on the angle from which you view it, so adjust it while the unit is in the actual position that you plan to use it in. Adjusting the contrast might make it easier to read. 4. After completing the setting, press the HOME button to return to the Home Screen. 44 TASCAM DP-006
