74 Connecting Other External Devices Inserting and removing PC Cards 2 If the PC Card slots are locked, unlock them by turning the computer over, locating the PC Card lock, removing the retaining screw, sliding the lock into the unlocked position, and replacing the screw. 3 Insert the PC Card. If you have a Type III card, insert it into the lower part of the slot. If you have a Type I or Type II card, insert it into either the upper or lower part of the slot. Inserting a PC Card 4 When the card is almost all the way into the slot, push firmly, but gently, to ensure a firm connection with the computer. Do not force the card into position. 5 To lock the PC Card in its slot, turn the computer over and locate the PC Card lock, remove the retaining screw, slide the lock into the locked position, and replace the screw.
