L450/L450D Using the cleaning cloth Some models include 1 cleaning cloth. The cleaning cloth can be used to wipe away dust and fingerprints from the keyboard and palm rest area of your computer. ■ When wiping the keyboard, palm rest and display panel, do so gently without using excessive pressure. ■ Do not use the cleaning cloth when it is dirty or wet. ■ Do not use the cleaning cloth soaked with water, detergents or volatile organic solvents. It is recommended that you wash the cloth if it gets soiled using a gentle, mild detergent and rinse it well. Allow it to air dry completely before using it again on your computer. Never spray cleaner directly onto the computer or let liquid run into any part of it. Never use harsh or caustic chemical products to clean the computer. ■ Use the cleaning cloth to wipe away dust, fingerprints and similar from the keyboard, palm rest and other parts. For precautions on use refer to the Using the cleaning cloth section in Chapter 4, Operating Basics. Moving the computer While the computer is designed for rugged durability you should exercise a few simple precautions when moving it in order to help ensure trouble-free operation. ■ Make sure all disk/disc activity has ended before moving the computer check that the HDD and other indicators on the front of the computer are off. ■ If a CD or DVD is in the drive, remove it and make sure that the disc tray is securely closed. ■ Turn off (shut down) the computer. ■ Disconnect the AC adaptor and all peripherals before moving the computer. ■ Close the display panel. ■ Do not pick up the computer by its display panel. ■ Before carrying your computer, shut it down, disconnect the AC adaptor and allow it to cool down - a failure to follow this instruction may result in minor heat injury. ■ Be careful not to subject the computer to impact or shock - a failure to follow this instruction could result in damage to the computer, computer failure or loss of data. ■ Never transport your computer with any cards installed - this may cause damage to either the computer and/or the card resulting in product failure. Using the cleaning cloth
Some models include 1 cleaning cloth.
The cleaning cloth can be used to wipe away dust and fingerprints from the
keyboard and palm rest area of your computer.
Moving the computer
While the computer is designed for rugged durability you should exercise a
few simple precautions when moving it in order to help ensure trouble-free
operation.
Make sure all disk/disc activity has ended before moving the computer -
check that the HDD and other indicators on the front of the computer
are off.
If a CD or DVD is in the drive, remove it and make sure that the disc tray
is securely closed.
Turn off (shut down) the computer.
Disconnect the AC adaptor and all peripherals before moving the
computer.
Close the display panel.
