The Grand Tour Underside The following figure shows the underside of the computer. Make sure the display is closed before turning over your computer. Notches Cooling vents Battery release latch Docking port Battery lock Reserve Pen Battery pack Figure 2-5 The underside of the computer Notches Docking port Notches on the computer engage hooks on the TOSHIBA Express Port Replicator to ensure a secure connection. This port enables connection of an optional TOSHIBA Express Port Replicator and a Slice Expansion Battery described in Chapter 3, Features, Utilities and Options. Keep foreign objects out of the docking port. A pin or similar object can damage the computer's circuitry. A plastic shutter protects the connector. Battery pack Battery lock Cooling vents The battery pack powers the computer when the AC adaptor is not connected. For detailed information on the battery pack, refer to Chapter 6, Power and Power-Up Modes. Slide the battery lock to release the battery pack for removal. The cooling vents is on the underside.
