NOTE Before adding external devices or memory, Toshiba recommends setting up your software. See "Setting up your software" on page 45. Installing a memory module Your computer has two memory module slots. Both slots are located under the keyboard and should only be accessed by a Toshiba authorized service provider. If you are a technically advanced user, visit pcsupport.toshiba.com for information. Toshiba will not be responsible for any product damage, data loss, service or part replacement made necessary by improper installation of a memory module. Hard Drive Recovery Utilities Your computer has been configured with a hard disk partition to allow you to recover your hard disk drive or reinstall selected applications and software features or utilities. NOTE It is strongly recommended that you create recovery CDs/ DVDs before using your system. For more information on creating Recovery media see "Creating Recovery CDs/DVDs" on page 56. Using the HDD Recovery, you can: ❖ Create Hard Drive Recovery CDs or DVDs using a writable drive. ❖ Recover your hard disk drive to the factory-set default.
