MY BOOK PRO USER MANUAL For highest performance and reliability, always install the latest software update and service pack (SP). For Mac computers, go to the Apple menu and select Software Update or App Store. For Windows computers, go to the Start menu and select Windows Update. Disk Drive Formats Your My Book Pro device is initially formatted with HFS+J partitions for compatibility with supported Mac OS X operating systems. Using the WD Drive Utilities software, you can reformat the device drives with exFAT partitions for compatibility with other computer operating systems. If you want to use this device with a Windows computer, see "Using the Device with Windows Computers" on page 29.
