Appendix STATUS DATA 11110001 F1 0nnndddd dd Quarter Frame Message nnn = message type (0-7) dddd = data 4.6 SONG POSITION POINTER (F2) < Transmission > If MIDI Clock is being transmitted, Song Position Pointer messages will be transmitted when the recorder stops or locates, in order to indicate the song position at which play- back should begin for the next Start/Continue.
