Recording Functions 26 Status indicators During the operation of the automatic punch-in/out function, you can determine the status by checking the indicators shown in the following table: Function Display Indicators LEDs AUTO PUNCH START IN OUT 2 REHE REC/PAUSE PLAY Mark the pre-roll point (see step 3). AUTO PUNCH START 2 (slowly) Start the tape playing (see step 4). If you press the AUTO PUNCH I/O key while the tape is playing, the operation starts here. AUTO PUNCH START IN 2 (slowly) (rapidly) Mark the punch-in point (see step 5). AUTO PUNCH IN 2 OUT (slowly) (rapidly) Mark the punch-out point (see step 6). AUTO PUNCH OUT 2 (slowly) The tape is rewound, waiting for rehearsal (also see step 6). AUTO PUNCH START 2 (rapidly) Rehearsal mode (see step 8). AUTO PUNCH IN 2 The tape is rewound, ready for recording (see step 9). Recording mode (see step 10). Status indicators
During the operation of the automatic punch-in/out function, you can determine the status by checking
the indicators shown in the following table:

Mark the pre-roll point (see step 3).
Start the tape playing (see step 4). If
you press the AUTO PUNCH I/O
key while the tape is playing, the
operation starts here.
Mark the punch-in point (see step 5).
Mark the punch-out point (see step 6).
The tape is rewound, waiting for
rehearsal (also see step 6).
Rehearsal mode (see step 8).
The tape is rewound, ready for
recording (see step 9).
Recording mode (see step 10).
While the tape is rewinding, the Play
LED flashes the waiting pattern.
