Playing the Instrument Stand-alone Practice along with the Stream Lights by using the Guide function - [GUIDE] You can mute the right and/or left-hand part of the Song to try practicing that part on your own. The Stream Lights indicate the notes you should play and when you should play them. 1 Select the desired Song (page 26). 2 Press the [GUIDE] button, and then use the [+] and [-] buttons to select the desired part to practice. (Right: For right-hand practice, Left: For left-hand practice, Right & Left: For both-hand practice, Off: Turns the Guide function off) 3 Press the [3/+] (Start/Stop) button to start playback. The part selected in step 2 is muted and the Stream Lights indicate the notes you should play and when you should play them. As the lights "descend," play the indicated key when the light reaches the bottom, nearest the key. You can also practice at your own pace - since the playback of other parts will wait for you to play the notes correctly. The Stream Lights speed and the on/off status can be set from [Song] → (Song select) → [Setting] → [Playback] on Smart Pianist. Using the metronome - [METRONOME] The [METRONOME] button lets you start or stop the metronome. The metronome provides a click sound, giving you an accurate tempo guide when you practice, or letting you hear and check how a specific tempo sounds.
