CHAPTER 32 E-mail Notification 32.1 Overview A mail server is an application or a computer that runs such an application to receive, forward and deliver e-mail messages. To have the VMG send reports, logs or notifications via e-mail, you must specify an e-mail server and the e-mail addresses of the sender and receiver. 32.2 The E-mail Notification Screen Click Maintenance > E-mail Notification to open the E-mail Notification screen. Use this screen to view, remove and add mail server information on the VMG. Figure 145 Maintenance > E-mail Notification The following table describes the labels in this screen. Mail Server Address This field displays the server name or the IP address of the mail server. Username This field displays the user name of the sender's mail account. Port This field displays the port number of the mail server. Security This field displays the protocol used for encryption. E-mail Address This field displays the e-mail address that you want to be in the from/sender line of the email that the VMG sends. Remove Click this button to delete the selected entry(ies). 32.2.1 E-mail Notification Edit Click the Add button in the E-mail Notification screen. Overview

deliver e-mail messages.
To have the VMG send reports, logs or notifications via e-mail, you must specify an e-mail server
and the e-mail addresses of the sender and receiver.

The E-mail Notification Screen
Click
Maintenance > E-mail Notification
to open the
E-mail Notification
screen. Use this
