Chapter 4 Modes The following table describes the sub-menus. Table 14 Menu: AP Mode LINK TAB Network Wireless LAN General MAC Filter Advanced WPS WPS Station Scheduling FUNCTION Use this screen to configure wireless LAN. Use the MAC filter screen to configure the WAP3205 v3 to block access to devices or block the devices from accessing the WAP3205 v3. This screen allows you to configure advanced wireless settings. Use this screen to configure WPS. Use this screen to add a wireless station using WPS. Use this screen to schedule the times the Wireless LAN is enabled. LAN Maintenance System Logs Tools Operation Mode IP Use this screen to configure LAN IP address and subnet mask. General Time Setting View Log Firmware Configuration Restart Language General Use this screen to view and change administrative settings such as system and domain names, password and inactivity timer. Use this screen to change your WAP3205 v3's time and date. Use this screen to view the logs for the categories that you selected. Use this screen to upload firmware to your WAP3205 v3. Use this screen to backup and restore the configuration or reset the factory defaults to your WAP3205 v3. This screen allows you to reboot the WAP3205 v3 without turning the power off. This screen allows you to select the language you prefer. This screen allows you to select the device operating mode: Access Point, Universal Repeater or Client Bridge. 4.3 Setting your WAP3205 v3 to Universal Repeater Mode 1 Connect your computer to the LAN port of the WAP3205 v3. 2 The default LAN IP address of the WAP3205 v3 is 192.168.1.2. You must give your computer a fixed IP address in the range between 192.168.1.3 and 192.168.1.254 (Section 2.2 on page 14). 3 After you've set your computer's IP address, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer and type the IP address of the WAP3205 v3 as the web address in your web browser. 4 Log into the Web Configurator. See the Chapter 2 on page 14 for instructions on how to do this. 5 Go to Operation Mode > General and select Universal Repeater. WAP3205 v3 User's Guide 37

Setting your WAP3205 v3 to Universal Repeater Mode

Connect your computer to the LAN port of the WAP3205 v3.

The default LAN IP address of the WAP3205 v3 is 192.168.1.2. You must give your computer a fixed IP

address in the range between 192.168.1.3 and 192.168.1.254 (

After you’ve set your computer’s IP address, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer and type the

IP address of the WAP3205 v3 as the web address in your web browser.

Log into the Web Configurator. See the

Chapter 2 on page 14

for instructions on how to do this.
