56 UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE MIRRORS Adjusting The Inside Day/Night Mirror Adjust the mirror to center on the view through the rear window. A two point pivot system allows for horizontal and vertical mirror adjustment. Automatic Dimming Mirror Feature This mirror will automatically adjust for annoying headlight glare from vehicles behind you. Push in the button on the base of the mirror to activate the dimming feature. A green light in the button will illuminate when this feature is on. NOTE: This feature is most effective when left in the ON position. Heated Remote Control Mirrors - If Equipped These mirrors are heated to melt frost or ice. This feature is activated whenever you turn on the rear window defrost. NOTE: On vehicles equipped with the automatic dimming mirror feature, and when the dimming feature is activated, the heated remote control mirrors will be automatically dimmed as well.
