PDF security can cause delays in prepress workflows when personnel handling the file downstream do not know the password. For this reason, the PDF/X-3 specification disallows the use of security settings. Require a Password to Open the Document: Prevents access to the file unless the User Password is entered properly. The password is required even if the PDF file is opened in 111 another program that can open PDF files, such as Adobe Illustrator. If you select this option, enter a Document Open Password. The summary can be saved, which is useful for troubleshooting and for communicating job settings to colleagues and customers. Save Summary: Saves the summary as a text file which can be sent to others, printed, or archived.
