4.21.3 Transfer an External Call Using a cordless handset: During an external call: 1. Press and to select INTERCOM. 2. Press to show all the other registered handset numbers, plus a "7" and a "9". Enter the number for the handset/base you want to transfer the call to. 3. The external call is put on hold automatically and the called handset/ base rings. 4. Press on the called handset, or pick up the corded handset on the base, to establish an internal call. 5. Press on the calling handset or put the calling handset on the charging cradle to end the current call with the external party. 6. The external call is transferred to the called handset/base. Note: If the other handset has not answered the intercom call, you can stop the intercom and return to the external call by pressing at any time. If the other handset does not answer the intercom call within 30 seconds, the intercom will stop and you will return to the external call automatically. Using the corded base: During an external call: 1. Press and enter the number of the handset you want to call, or enter "9" to call all the handsets. 2. The external call is put on hold automatically and the called handset rings. 3. Press on the called handset to establish an internal call. 4. Replace the corded handset on to the base to end the current call with the external party. 5. The external call is transferred to the called handset. 28
