9.5.8.1 Change the 4-Digit Remote Access PIN 1. Press and to select TAM. 2. Press and to select SETTINGS. 3. Press and to select CHG PIN. 4. Press to confirm. 9.5.8.2 Activate or Deactivate the Remote Access The Remote Access is activated by default, but you can deactivate it to prevent any external access. 1. Press and to select TAM. 2. Press and to select SETTINGS. 3. Press and to select REMOTE. 4. Press and to select ON or OFF to turn the remote access on or off, respectively. (The currently selected option is indicated with a "*".) 5. Press to confirm. 9.5.8.3 Access Your Answering Machine Remotely If you are away from home, you can call your answering machine from a tone-dialling phone to switch it on/off and/or listen to your messages remotely. 1. Place a call from a tone-dialling phone to your phone. 2. When the answering machine answers the call and starts playing the OGM, press the < * > key. 3. Enter the 4-digit Remote Access PIN (default value 0000). If the PIN is accepted, a long beep is played. If it is not accepted a multiple beep is played, and you must re-enter the PIN. Note: The < * > can be entered during or after the OGM and the 4-digit PIN should follow without any delays. Note: If the 4-digit Remote Access PIN is entered incorrectly three times consecutively, the line will be released automatically. 4.
