Maintaining Your Lifestyle Music System Replacing the batteries for your m remote control 3 Cleaning your music system co) You should replace the batteries for your remote control when it stops operating or its operating range seems reduced. This normally occurs every year or two. See Figure 26. Use only a damp cloth to clean the outside of the music center, remote control(s), bass module, and cube speakers. You may also use a vacuum with a soft-bristled attachment to clean the cube speakers' grilles. Do not use any solvents or chemicals. Do not allow liquids to spill into any openings on the music center or bass module. Note: Use threeAA or /ECR6Pbatteries, ortheequivalent. These areavailable frommostretaildealers andelectronics stores, as wellas supermarkets andhardware stores. ifyou have difficulty findingreplacementbatteries, contactBose Corporation directly(see "Customer service,'page 30). 1. Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to expose the battery compartment. 2. Lift out the old batteries, and dispose of them properly. 3. Insert the new batteries. Be sure to align the batteries' + symbols with those in the battery compartment. 4. Slide the battery cover back on. Make sure it clicks into place.
