✒ Note • This toner cartridge is a single-component cartridge. The microfine toner does not become magnetized. • The toner cartridge is packed inside a bag. Do not open it until immediately before you install the toner cartridge. The toner cartridge must not be exposed to light for a long time. • Do not expose the toner cartridge to direct light. • Do not stand the toner cartridge on its end or turn it upside down. • Do not open the drum shutter because it might cause serious damage, resulting in poor print quality. • Do not touch the shaded parts shown below. • Toner consumption varies according to the image coverage on the page and the print density setting. • The greater the image coverage, the greater the toner consumption. • If you change the print density setting for lighter or darker printing, toner consumption varies accordingly. 5-2
