You can map any type of Quick Connect index field to fields in an SQL, Access, or Oracle database. When a user enters values in mapped index fields, the connector profile stores the values in the associated database fields. Mapping index fields to fields in a database
This feature enables you to specify a database to store index values entered
at an eCopy-enabled device. You can map any type of Quick Connect
index field to fields in an SQL, Access, or Oracle database. When a user
enters values in mapped index fields, the connector profile stores the
values in the associated database fields.
If you are storing scanned documents in a database and you want to create
a relationship between the database fields where the documents are stored
and the database fields where the index values are stored, make sure that
one of the mapped index fields is of the type “File Name”. Index fields of
type “File Name” automatically use the file name of the scanned
document that is stored in the database destination.
