• Terminator Settings The terminator marks the last device in a daisy chain. It tells the computer that "this is the last device". There are two types of terminator: a separate device that is attached to a SCSI device or an On/Off switch built into the SCSI device. This scanner has a built-in terminator. For a daisy chain to operate correctly, the terminator must be set to On for the last SCSI device , and Off for all other SCSI devices. A typical daisy chain is shown below.
