Basic Network Settings Network Environment Setup Procedures Before using the machine in a network environment, it is necessary to perform the following setup procedures. 2 1 Network Cable Connection (See "Connecting the Machine," on p. 2-3.) Connect the machine to the network using the network cables. 2 Interface Settings (See "Interface Settings," on p. 2-7.) Specify the interface settings for communication between the machine and computers on your network. To specify the settings, use: • The machine's control panel • The Remote UI (via a web browser) 3 Communication Environment Setup (See "Communication Environment Setup," on p. 2-12.) Set up a configuration for communication between the machine and computers on your network. IMPORTANT If you are configuring the interface settings for the first time, use the control panel of this machine. Network Environment Setup Procedures
Before using the machine in a network environment, it is necessary to perform the
following setup procedures.

Specify the interface settings for communication between the machine and computers on your network. To
