Section 4 - Configuration Disk Management Hard Drive Configuration To setup the Hard Drive RAID configuration of your DNS-327L, click on the Management tab and then the Disk Management icon. Select Hard Drive Configuration from the list that appears below Disk Management. This page will allow you to set the RAID type and re-format your hard drive(s). Hard Drive Configuration: Re-configure your hard drive(s), or format a newly-inserted hard drive. For information about RAID configuration options, refer to the Knowledge Base section in this manual. Current Raid Type: If the drives are already formatted, the RAID configuration will be displayed here. Set RAID type and Click on this button to launch the Hard Drive Re-format: Configuration Wizard that allows you to select a RAID configuration and format the drives. Auto-Rebuild If you have chosen RAID 1 as the RAID type, Configuration: you can enable the Auto-Rebuild feature by clicking on Enable Auto-Rebuild. Enable Auto-Rebuild: Enabling Auto-Rebuild will rebuild a failed RAID 1 drive when the old drive is replaced. Disable Auto-Rebuild: If you do not want to automatically rebuild drive(s) after a hard drive failure, you can select this option. Manually Rebuild Now: If Auto-Rebuild is disabled, you can rebuild a drive manually by clicking this button. D-Link DNS-327L User Manual 105
