Section 4 - Configuration Time Machine The Time Machine section allows the Mac user to configure the DNS-327L so that it becomes a backup destination in the Mac OS® X Time Machine. In order to use this function, Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) is required. The AFP service will start automatically as soon as the Time Machine function is enabled. Enable Time Machine: Check this box to enable the Time Machine function to work with a Mac OS® X Time Machine. The Time Machine Settings list will appear below when the Enable Time Machine checkbox is checked. Time Machine List of destination folders on the Network Shares associated Settings: with a Time Machine backup. New: Adds a NAS folder as a Time Machine destination, using the Time Machine Setup Wizard. Delete: Deletes a NAS folder that was set up as a Time Machine destination.
