Section 4 - Configuration Upgrade from Standard Mode to RAID 1 Standard Mode does not offer redundancy. This lack of mirroring means that if one drive fails, all the data on the volume will be lost. It is recommended that you upgrade from Standard Mode to RAID 1 because this ensures that your data is protected against loss if a hard drive in a RAID 1 set fails.
