Section 4 - Configuration Remote Backups The Remote Backups section allows you to back up your DNS-327L to another NAS or Linux Server. Or the other way around, from a remote NAS or Linux Server to your DNS-327L . Click the Create button, located above the Remote Backups list, to start the Remote Backup Wizard. The wizard will guide you through a remote backup. (Refer to the next page for more information about the Remote Backup Wizard.) Enable remote Check this checkbox to enable the Remote Backup Server backup service: functionality, allowing a remote NAS or Linux server to backup to or from your DNS-327L . Note: If you are not using the Remote Backup Server functionality of your DNS-327L, leave this box unchecked so that your NAS's performance will not be affected by the additional overhead used by this process. Password: Enter a password that the remote client will use to access your NAS for backup. Remote Backups: This is the list of Remote Backup jobs. Create: Click the Create button to build a new remote backup job on your DNS-327L, using the Remote Backup Wizard. Modify: Click this button to make changes to your existing Remote Backup jobs in the Remote Backup list. You must select the Remote Backup job first and then click the Modify button. Delete: To remove a Remote Backup job, select the job in the list and then click the Delete button. D-Link DNS-327L User Manual 395
