Section 4 - Configuration Recording Setup Components COMPONENT Motion Detection DESCRIPTION When using the Record by Schedule mode together with the Motion Detection function, you must first click the Go to Web link and log in to the camera's web interface and enable the motion detection function on that camera. Please refer to your camera manual for more information on enabling motion detection. Copy Copy the camera's Recording Setup to other similar cameras. (Instructions on next page.) Quota Settings Automatic Overwrite Quota Keep the File within... Estimate Required Space Event Record: Pre-record Event Record: Post Record Recording Mode Configurable for each camera. Check this checkbox if you wish to overwrite the earliest recorded video with the latest video whenever the quota limitation is reached or disk space is full. Click this checkbox to set the amount of storage you want to allocate for each camera. Next to it, the NAS displays the remaining free Disk space. This indicates how many days you want to keep the recorded camera video files before it is overwritten. Click this button to find out how much disk space is required each day. This option records data, on Event Record, before the event is triggered - within a range of 5-180 seconds This option records data, on Event Record, after the event is triggered - within a range of 5-180 seconds No Record - no recording is made. Estimated data space usage per day (approx.) Recording Mode Record by Schedule - Drag and Drop on the weekly map below. Select from the following: • Always Record means that the camera will always record for the specified period. • Motion Detection Record will wait for motion to be detected before the camera begins recording. • Event Record will wait for event to trigger recording. • Motion Detection and Event Record will wait for either motion to be detected or event to trigger recording.
