Section 4 - Configuration SMS Settings Similar to the way alerts for system conditions can be sent to an E-mail box, they can also be sent to a mobile phone. SMS (Short Message Service) allows the exchange of text messages between mobile phone devices. The user must have an agreement with a SMS gateway provider allowing the device to be configured to receive the alerts. Alerts are sent by the service provider to the configured mobile phones as text messages. Enable SMS Notifications: Under SMS Settings, check the box to enable SMS alerts to be sent to your mobile phone. SMS Service Provider: From the drop-down list, select your SMS Service Provider. (This box will be empty if you have not yet entered a service provider using the SMS Setup Wizard. See instructions on the next page.) Add: Click on the Add button to enter the information your service provider has given you to use for the configuration. (Refer to the instructions on the next page.) Delete: Click on Delete to remove the selected Service Provider from the configuration. URL: Enter the URL for the SMS Service Provider selected above. Enter required special If required by your service provider, you can enter the special character: character that will be used for the space, or click Use default. Phone Number 1: This field is automatically populated when you add an SMS Service Provider. Phone Number 2: You may enter a second mobile telephone number. Make sure the number matches the one provided in the configuration instructions from your Mobile Service Provider. Test SMS: Click this button to send a test message to your mobile phone to verify the settings are correct. Click Save Settings. D-Link DNS-327L User Manual 238
