Section 2 - Configuration S/PDIF Audio Output At the S/PDIF Audio Output menu, you may select between Stereo or 5.1 Channel Surround. Selecting Stereo is recommended for standard two to four speaker systems. Selecting 5.1 Channel Surround is recommended if you have a five speaker surround sound system with subwoofer. S/PDIF = Sony/Philips Digital Interface. This format is only supported when either the Coaxial Digital or Optical Digital audio connectors are connected to the DSM-750, or when an HDMI connector is connected to a compatible 5.1 audio receiver.
