Managing Print Jobs and Network Printing Managing Print Jobs With Windows NT Windows NT 4.0 servers and workstations include a messenger service to alert you to printer errors or let you know when a print job is finished. If you have appropriate network access privileges or you're controlling printing from the server, you can also cancel, pause, or restart print jobs and set the sharing, security, scheduling, and port options. See your Windows NT documentation for details. Managing Print Jobs on a Macintosh Your Macintosh printer software includes two utilities for managing your print jobs: EPSON Monitor3 and Status Monitor. ◗ If you're using background printing, EPSON Monitor3 starts automatically when you send a job to the printer. It handles printing while you continue to work on your Macintosh and lets you track documents that are waiting to be printed. ◗ The Status Monitor alerts you to any problems that occur during printing. You can also use it any time to see how much ink you have left. 4-6
