Optical Drive Cable Description Optical drive cable Spare part number 646790-001 The optical drive cable is secured to the computer with two screws and connects the optical drive to the system board. Figure 6-38 Optical drive cable location To remove the optical drive cable: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparing to Disassemble the Computer on page 29). 2. Remove the rear cover (see Rear Cover on page 30). 3. Remove the two Torx T15M3.0x6.0 screws (1) that secure the connector to the computer. 4.
