Safety precautions CAUTION: Be very careful when handling the equipment. Do not drop the equipment from a height of more than 0.5 cm (0.2 in). Floor unevenness must be less than 1 cm (0.4 in). WARNING! The equipment frame is very heavy. To avoid injury, use appropriate lifting tools and have three people unpack and move the equipment. CAUTION: Any movement of the equipment by forklift should be done prior to unpacking. The carton assembly provides the most secure support of the equipment during movement. Transporting the equipment by forklift after the packaging carton has been removed is not advisable. CAUTION: The equipment rack may tip over easily and contains very sensitive electronic and mechanical components. When you move the rack on its casters, the rolling surface must be able to support the equipment weight and must be free of surface conditions that could cause shock or vibration to the cabinet contents. Avoid pushing the rack from behind because it may tip over. Instead, pull the rack from the rear to roll it. Be careful when pulling the rack that it doesn't tip toward you or fall on you, causing injury. Note that the rear casters swivel and front casters are fixed and do not swivel. WARNING! When using sharp objects or cutting tools, make sure that no part of your body lies in the path of the blade bit or point. CAUTION: When system equipment is not located in a data center or computer room, it must be stored in a controlled area that meets environmental requirements (see "Environmental requirements"). 46 Delivery and unpacking
