4 Click either the Start, Stop, or Restart button. To determine if the DSS 4 service is running, go to Start, click on Control Panel, click Administrative Tools, and then click Services. Check the status column for the HP MFP Digital Sending Software. If the service is running, Status should have a value of Started. Also, if the service is running, the Stop button should be available. Using the activity log
