Description With discrete graphics subsystem and 1 GB of dedicated memory With discrete graphics subsystem and 512 MB of dedicated memory With UMA graphics subsystem and shared memory Spare part number 509403-001 509404-001 509402-001 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 44). 5. Remove the following components: a. Primary and secondary hard drives (see Hard drive on page 48) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 45) c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 50) d. Memory module (see Memory module on page 54) e. Switch cover and keyboard (see Switch cover and keyboard on page 59) f. Speaker assembly (see Speaker assembly on page 65) g. Bluetooth module (see Bluetooth module on page 66) h. Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 67) i. Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
