I/O Card Not Ready and Scanning for SSID would likely appear.

Page 27 highlights

Check the print server settings. Since the print server is not yet fully installed (until you complete the procedures in chapters 3 and 4), many parameters will not reflect the operating values needed for your network. For a new print server, the configuration page would display the following factorydefault settings: communication mode "Ad Hoc", network name (SSID) "hpsetup", and encryption type "None". The desired print server status "I/O Card Ready" would not appear until the print server successfully connects to a network. Instead, the messages "I/O Card Not Ready" and "Scanning for SSID" would likely appear. Note To interpret entries and diagnose problems reported on the configuration page, see the HP Jetdirect Print Server Administrator's Guide for this model on the HP Jetdirect CD-ROM provided with the print server. Installing the Print Server Hardware 2-5
Check the print server settings. Since the print server is not yet fully installed (until you
complete the procedures in chapters 3 and 4), many parameters will not reflect the
operating values needed for your network.
For a new print server, the configuration page would display the following factory-
default settings: communication mode “Ad Hoc”, network name (SSID) “hpsetup”, and
encryption type “None”. The desired print server status “I/O Card Ready” would not
appear until the print server successfully connects to a network. Instead, the messages
“I/O Card Not Ready” and “Scanning for SSID” would likely appear.
Note
To interpret entries and diagnose problems reported on the configuration page,
